Friday, and at least two people were killed and 120 wounded in the largest anti-government protest in sub-Saharan Africa this year.

Rioters burned tires in downtown streets as security forces fired tear gas and guns, and a Red Cross spokeswoman said 15 of the wounded and been hit by live bullets. Battles between protesters and police were also reported elsewhere around the country.

The protests are the first serious demonstrations in sub-Saharan Africa since a wave of anti-government protests swept leaders in Tunisia and Egypt out of power. Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who has been in power for a quarter-century, has vowed repeatedly that his government will not be taken down by protests.

NEA Study Finds Americans Spend More On Art Than On Movies

The most recent estimates from 2009 show Americans spent $14.5 billion on tickets for the performing arts. As a comparison, that's $6 billion less than Americans spent on sports admissions but $4 billion more than they spent on movie tickets.

More people are attending movies but are willing to pay more for theater, concerts and other performances, generating more revenue in ticket sales for the arts.

The study shows theaters and concerts from Broadway to small towns draw about 1.5 million attendees every day. At the same time, about 3.4 million are attending the movies each day, and sports events draw nearly 2.7 million people daily.

NEA Research Director Sunil Iyengar said the fact that performing arts ticket revenue is bigger than movie ticket sales will surprise many people.

The study also found museums draw more than 500,000 people any given day and nearly 900,000 on weekends based on time use surveys.

Self-titled fragrances have become a must-have accessory for celebrities in recent years and singers Rihanna and Katy Perry have joined the growing number of stars releasing their own perfumes.

Although many of the signature scents leave little to be desired and have been panned by critics, that hasn’t stopped endorsement happy stars from signing big money deals to release their own lines.

Perry, who is married to British comedian Russell Brand, was pictured launching her first scent Purr in Melbourne, Australia.

The party will start at 7pm after the wedding reception.

All those who can make it till 6am will also be invited to a “Survivor’s Breakfast” which includes “Bacon Butties” – buttery bacon sandwiches – and massive “fry-ups” (the full on English breakfast of champions including eggs, bacon, sausages, roasted tomatoes, baked beans and fried bread).

London under gray skies Friday to watch Prince William wed Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey, as hundreds of thousands more crowded the city's streets to catch a glimpse of the action.

The bride wore a dress by Sarah Burton, creative director at the late Alexander McQueen's fashion house. The intricate gown, which she paired with a tiara borrowed from the queen, had lace sleeves, a plunging neckline and a two-meter train.

Most Rev. Rowan Williams, the archbishop of Canterbury and spiritual head of the Anglican denomination, officiated the nuptials. When his bride arrived at the altar, William appeared to whisper in her ear, "you look beautiful."

The couple comfortably recited their vows without so much as a stumble or stutter. Keeping with Anglican tradition, both the bride and groom pronounced "I will" after stating their vows. But instead of pledging to "obey" her husband, Middleton vowed to "love, honor, comfort and keep" him.

The royal ceremony began with the hymn "Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer" and, after the couple exchanged vows, continued with "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling." In a subtle tribute to the groom's mother, the initial hymn was also played at the late Princess Diana's funeral.

William slipped a wedding ring made of rare Welsh gold on his bride's finger. The band was crafted by the Wartski company, a shop founded in Wales in 1865 and long associated with the royal family. Queen Elizabeth II gave the jewelry to her grandson shortly after he announced his engagement in November, and both she and Diana also wore wedding rings made of Welsh gold. Like his father, Prince Charles (when he wed Diana), and grandfather, Prince Phillip, William will not wear a wedding band.

The wedding party consisted of family and close friends. Middleton's younger sister, Pippa, 27, served as her maid of honor, while Harry, 26, acted as best man to his older brother.
Bridesmaids included Prince William's goddaughter, three-year-old Grace Van Cutsem; Queen Elizabeth II's grandniece, the honorable Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 8; Lady Louise Windsor, 7, Prince William's cousin; and three-year-old Eliza Lopes, granddaughter of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Prince William's godson Tom Pettifer, 8, child of his former personal assistant Tiggy Pettifer, was page boy, along with William Lowther-Pinkerton, 10, son of William's private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.

Nokia New Mobile Leaked 2011

Nokia's first touch and type slider phone have been spotted on Indian site Hackintos. The handset reportedly runs on Symbian S40 operating system, 6th edition and has a resistive touch screen.

The budget phone will be a dual-SIM phone, according to My Nokia Blog. The device called C2-06 is packed with 2 megapixel camera (without flash) and slide-out keyboard.

The phone reportedly lacks WiFi and 3G connectivity, however, features Bluetooth (thankfully).

Japan, on Friday after being found drifting on a roof is believed to have survived for three weeks after being washed away by the killer tsunami triggered by the March 11 earthquake. Coast guard members aboard a helicopter involved in the day's search for those still missing after the disaster found the dog on the roof drifting along some 1.8 kilometres off Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture.
